Last one in this EML SEP 14 box of 10. With the recent talk of 2014 cigars and the RE/LE review weekend I though it would be a good time to smoke it. Paired with an Americano.

The cigar looks a bit rough but after sniping just a bit of the the very top it’s time to light it up.

First third: Draw is what I would call firm but not tight and smoke output is good. Strength is below medium (maybe just above mild) to start and flavors are a bit muted to start. Burn so far is perfect.

Second third: Strength picking up a bit and while still no complexity, I am getting more white pepper and spice making it a little bit more interesting. Towards the end of the second third more pepper and spice is especially through the retrohale. Draw opening up and overall cigar better but burn off a bit.

Final third: continued to be enjoyable but burn wasn’t great. No relights needed.

At the beginning I thought the cigar was going to be a disappointment but the second half was much more enjoyable. I’ve certainly had better from this and other boxes
