Popular Post Wailbait Posted November 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 4, 2019 The classic scenario. You make an offhanded comment To a friend that you like a particular cigar, that you’ve had good luck with a particular box and.... well, you have a dud. i bought this box a couple years back and it’s just been fabulous. Memorable sticks in both flavor and construction. This one looked great. Slightly lighter and more mottled than its brethren but still looked great. First half. Cold aroma was muted but leathery. The leather and wood flavors carried throughout. But there was a slight detergent-y and soapy quality for the first half. I paired the cigar with water. Palate cleanser was in order so I mixed up a gin martini. Second half. The cigar really changed form a bit over halfway. The soapy flavor died down and it ramped up in strength. Finally got a bit of toffee, honey and sweetness that I recalled from previous Upmann PC. I am thankful I still have about 7-9 left in the box. This has been a great box of cigars and it should teach me from precommenting before lighting up. Might have to smoke my words. 8
