Popular Post daleighan Posted September 23, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 23, 2019 Pre-light draw: There was a hint of leather and a hint of raisin. The draw seemed like it would be slightly firm 1st third: The body was initially medium-full. There was a predominant woody leatheryness with a hint of stone fruit. There was a very satisfying amount of smoke produced and the draw was as not as firm as it seemed like it might be. The flavors were quite sweet, and a bit of nutmeg started to show itself towards the second third. The burn was very even and the ash produced was quite light 2nd third: The body became a bit lighter during this section and the sweetness intensified. It was less leathery, but more woody. The draw and burn continued in the same fashion as in the first third and was very satisfying. There was even maybe a hint of cola flavor and the spiciness intensified a bit Final third: The body became more intense again and the leatheriness came back into the picture, dominating the woodiness. The raisin flavor was still very apparent and the spiciness intensified a little bit. The burn and smoke production continued to be stellar, producing a bit more smoke than before. It was smoked down to the nub. Final thoughs: Overall, this was a very satisfying smoke. The burn and smoke production was impeccable and the flavors were really good. This was in the middle of the road in terms of quality for this box, and had a bit less leatheriness than some other examples, but was sweeter than most. There was a bit more spice than I usually expect from Bolivars. Smoking time: 53 mins Rating: 92/100 5
