Anyone smoke these recently? From the reviews I gathered they didn’t get the best reception when they were released.

wondering if they’ve developed in the right direction over the years.

Had a box that ranged from flavorless to just ok...

Had one 2 years ago, so strong it knocked me on my arse, though  do remember the nice black coffee note throughout. 

Time to revisit to see if has mellowed.

I've always heard good feedback on them even near release. The ones I've had I liked very much. For some reason, the price on these has been high for years. Worth $30+ per stick? I don't know about that. But I liked them.

Maybe I haven't searched properly but from the few threads on FOH and The handful of other reviews out there feedback seamed like a mixed bag.

I had heard a few people unhappy with them but the vast majority thought they were very, very good. Definitely considered a top EL release. 

Again I liked them but are they better than a good Connie A to me? Or a Sir Winston? That's where my coin would be going.
