Regarding "Analysis of final sell price reflects an average 5% year on year gain for everyday stock," does this take in to account the 10% buyers fee? No as this is an analysis of sale prices. Some standard stock items do far better (PLPC CORO ETC) and some worse (MAGICOS GENIOS). but the average to date is 5 % year on year. 1

I think people who complain think of it from the buyer’s perspective. Maybe they ignore the transaction fee, I don’t know. The auction has been a huge net positive for cc, so kudos and thanks for doing it! With that said, more than once have I looked at a ~$500 box that I thought was reasonably priced and then remembered there is an additional $50 transaction fee and backed away. Any thoughts on doing a flat fee? Or declining % based on value? I’m sure this has been brought up before so my apologies for being redundant.

No. Fees are fairly standard on Auction sites ranging from 20% seller and buyer fees etc down. In the end it works along the lines...... if you don't want to pay, don't play We have the mix fairly right. 2

Silverstix Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 If give the option would you rather pay for a current year PSP/HQ or 4-5yr aged unknown grade cigar? Same cost or slightly more for the aged.Easy, give me the known variable every time. I’ll take the current year PSP/HQ. Especially if it’s the same price or cheaper. There are a lot of crappy 4-5 year old cigars out there!! Years doesn’t equal quality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Silverstix Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 What I don’t understand is someone bids 400 on a box then the next guy bids 800 and kills the action and overpays. Guess some people have more money than brains. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkX2 on this!! Some people need to watch a YouTube tutorial on how to participate in an auction. The pricing in general is what it is - you have a product which continues to rise in cost every year. You have a competitive setting in the auction. This is gonna cause some big numbers. Maybe even some stupid numbers. But that’s what the market is bearing on those things, god bless the people that drop a mortgage payment on a box of smokes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
havanaclub Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 as of last week, some 92% of boxes have been listed at sellers purchase price as a reserve. FOH Auctions clearance rate is just over 98% Analysis of final sell price reflects an average 5 % year on year gain for everyday stock. There are outliers/standouts on boxes that are internationally sought (like Behike). In the end the final price paid = how much the person wants the box = what the value is for him or her. There is no "formulae" for that. For individuals to complain about a final price is nuts. Someone wanted it more and they threw in a higher marker. FB box flippers are simply part of the new game. They come in many forms and as long as the cigars are legitimate and as represented then I cannot see why there is a problem. You buy the seller. I would likely pay more for a cigar from FOHAuctions on a Behike 52 than from Don Diego on FB Cuba #*#* with 2 previous sales record who purported picked them up from LCDH Partagas a few years back. A good auction should see a happy seller and a happy buyer. That is the only measure that counts Don't worry about the "Chicken Littles" of the world. Some people just get off on negativity and they will never change regardless of the topic For the record, FOH Auctions updates are on track for an October launch. I think your platform for auctions is great. I have been on the sidelines as I have no experience with CC auctions and prices of vintage whatsoever. As stated above, I buy mainly from you and age myself and enjoy sampling over the years to see the development of the box. I also have no issues with the final prices, like you said, if people want to pay a certain dollar amount and both buyer and seller are happy that’s great. My observation and comment was about the outbidding. Just trying to understand it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
