Popular Post Chucko8 Posted August 23, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2019 I picked up 5 of these a few months back from a trade and have been waiting to try one out. This was smoked over a period of a few hours between meetings and other work commitments. Feel of the cigar is nice in the fingers, has a nice colorado wrapper and the smell is a light musty hay scent. I use my punch to punch a hole in this Punch. Cold draw the hay is present from the smell and there is a light spice on the lips. Draw is easy which is nice as sometimes these thinner RG sticks suffer from being too tight. Fortunately not an issue here. First third - intially starts off with that medium hay flavour, then transitions into an elegant oak earthy spice feel. Second third - The spice content increases and on a retro has a lovely chilli feel to it. Red pepper. This melds beautifully with a vintage cream content and light honey sweetness comes into the picture as well. Smoke content is very satisfying, boy am I loving this stick. Burn has been stellar also. Final third - the flavour of red pepper, cream and earthiness continue, at one stage I feel that the sweetness has transitioned from honey to more of a raisin feel. I keep the draw at a slower rate so as not to overheat the stick. Burn still fantastic and ash holds tight. All the way to the end it has been super enjoyable hands down the best punch cigar that I've had. Thoroughly enjoyed this one and give it a 93 8

RDB Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Thanks for the review - would love to try one of these some day. What’s going on in that first image, where the stick looks so pale? Is the cigar wrapped in something? 1

The first picture was inside and the reflection off the window onto the desk pales it unfortunately 1
RDB Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Oh I see! Gosh that’s weird. It’s hard to believe the first and second images are the same cigar. Shows how careful we have to be about judging by photos... 1
