DaveyStacks Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Sunday evening, sat on the back porch here in RDU North Carolina. A nice 40 minutes spent with Wicked Tuna on in the background and nice Partagas Short. Prelight: Some nice cedar and salt... almost like licking your lips hours after being on a boat on the ocean. Tight draw but a pass of the PerfectDraw fixed that. Notes of hay and barn but very slight. 1/3 => Draw was still a bit tight but not terrible. A great smelling smoke with a sweet taste carrying notes of cocoa, honey, and sugar. The retrohale was slightly strong and seemed to be nicotine packed! Good start. 2/3 => A nice white/gray ash and a better draw now. Super smooth and the smoke smells divine. It reminds me of the fancy gents llaying cards at my dad's country club when I was a kid! The taste is still slightly sweet but more cedarwood now with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg on the retrohale. 3/3 => This is when this baby really shined. Up to this point I was considering an 84/85 points but man, this got really amazing. Chocolate and honey yielded to chocolate and peanut butter in the final third and it was amazing. Like an adult Reeses cup. Best third of the cigar. Retrohale was woody (almost like a great campfire) and strong but not overpowering. Overall, a great smoke and a great finish to my weekend! Thanks for reading! 87 pts. Peace, love, and great smoke, DaveyStacks 4
Chucko8 Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Sounds like it was very pleasant Sunday evening. Nice review.
jeht Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 We're probably minutes from each other. It might have needed to be dry boxed. It's been crazy humid here lately.
DaveyStacks Posted August 19, 2019 Author Posted August 19, 2019 @jeht I am minutes from the airport!
