slowsmoke Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 After many mediocre Siglo and Coro (admittedly, all young), the Coronas Especiales has shown me what Cohiba can be. They have been repeatedly spectacular for me with less than two years age. So when I browse the Cohiba catalog, the Lancero appears to be an obvious next step. It seems universally loved. But what about the Exquisitos? Most of my smoking opportunities are on the shorter end, so I gravitate to smaller sticks. Are they any good? Can they produce the honey bliss? And while we’re on the topic, how about the panetelas? Guide me, FOH ? 1
El Hoze Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Both are great cigars in my opinion. I also am not a particularly huge fan of CoRos, though I do have a bunch laying down and they can be very good. The panatela is a little on the thin side for me, but I smoke both fairly often as a quickie (which for me is not that quick as I’m a slow smoker). I think they’re great to have in the lineup, especially if you’re a fan of classic Cohiba flavors (which both of these cigars possess).
Islandboy Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Age, or lack thereof, probably plays into it, but I’ve found my box pretty underwhelming. Got a PSP box of MOL Mar 18. I’ve had a handful so far, and while they’re pleasant, they really lack the full Cohiba experience. Right now I’m planning to forget about them for a few years and hope they blossom. 1
