Popular Post TTP21 Posted August 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 10, 2019 It's my birthday weekend and I've saved an E2 and Lusi for it, but the competition pushed me into my box of Monte 5. I love this little cigar. After about 6 months here I am starting to lean to the side that puts great faith in Rob's PSP rated offerings. The HQ and clearance purchases are good, but these just shine every time. Small guys, so thirds is a bit tough but I do push 60 minutes taking it slow. First half: Got some celery salt at one point, but outside of that it's luscious chocolate, tobacco, and bready. German chocolate cake at one point, but I think through it all it's just like a 7 layer chocolate cake that spans the gamut of chocolate flavors. Second half: Good to the nub, never harsh. This one is more powerful than others from the box, but never overwhelming. Construction and burn were top notch. I love this cigar. Glad I have 20 left to just age and enjoy. Cuba sure does these smaller format cigars well. 91 pointer. My theory is age will smooth these guys out and push the 95-96 range. 5
CampDelta369 Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I have same box code and looking forward to them. Thanks for the solid review. I love the character of these small Vitolas, it has made me rethink cigars in general. Along with the skinnies...
