Cohiba Siglo III HLRW

This was my last of a three pack, purchased in Amsterdam Schipol Airport last summer, so I guess 2017 or maybe 18 stock. They were not awful to look at, but I know better after a year on this forum. Quite dull veiny wrappers. Not obviously terrible, but not handsome. 

They just taste like sh*t. Flat, ashy, cardboardy flavours. Not a hint of the sweet grassy honey Cohiba can bring, none of the subtlety or poise. Ashy, dirty flavours that make smoking a chore, when it should be a relaxing pleasure. I gave it about one third of its length over half an hour. Maybe this would have turned into a beautiful swan after five years down? Maybe it would have irked me every time I saw it hiding malevolent in my humidor.

Smoked whilst reading the barely believable, outrageous story of how Lyndon Johnson stole his Texas Senate seat in 1948, written by the masterly Robert Caro. Was ever so much light and darkness mixed inside one human nature?
