Curious about thoughts by anyone that's had the chance to use both the old and new PerfecDraw pokers.

I've had the original close to these coming on the market and we were provided the new version at an event in Italy last month.

V1 on the left, v2 on the right.

For me, I prefer the screw-like design of v1 though v2 has wider teeth so pulls more tobacco.

Are you certain version 1 is on the right? Mine, which I have had for a while now, is more similar to the one on the left, although it is fairly difficult to get a clear look at the teeth.

You are right. v1 left, v2 right. Corrected.

I've been thinking of ordering one for a while.   That said, I'd rather have the V1 if that picture is accurate, i don't want to pull too much out and V2 looks like it would remove half the cigar.

I have the old version which works well.  The owner of the company is passionate about his trade, so there must be some empirical evidence supporting the new version.  Now I guess I need to spend some more money.  These tools save Havana lovers big $ over time.

I have the v2 and do feel that it can be a bit aggressive for thinner ring gauges.  That said, I smoke mostly larger ring gauges, for which it is perfect.

I miss the clip on the cap from the first release more than anything.... but have found both to be just as good clearing out a plug.

Agreed on the clip though the new version has a hexagonal cap which keeps it from rolling.
