Popular Post PrairieSmoke
I had this single floating in the humidor. I received it from somewhere here with no info on that band other than 2017. Ive had mixed experience with Cohiba, ranging from sublime to disappointing. Good draw, but nothing remarkable flavor-wise in the cold draw. Upon lighting I get that classic Cohiba “sweet hay” flavor. This is a good sign because I’ve had much better results from Cohiba if I can detect a little bit of that sweetness up front. Moving into the second third some coffee and background citrus notes join in. Back end of the 2nd third I get that wonderful honey comb, my most favorite flavor note to find in a Cohiba. Final third cruises along until the last 2 inches get hot and the flavors take a turn for the worse. It’s possible I was smoking too quickly, I was in a conversation and didn’t have my full attention on the cigar. All in all this one was a winner and reminds me that Cohiba at its best is a fantastic smoke.
