Popular Post PaulPower Posted June 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2019 A special thanks to our hosts for providing me with these wonderful sticks. Honestly, the first contest I can remember winning in a long time. I don’t have a lot of high end cigars in my collection, mostly middle tier Cubans, so I put these away for a special day. And a week ago I welcomed my second daughter, Penelope, into the world. The time is right... Got them around November and in the humidor they sat (67F, 65%RH). Dry boxed for 8 hrs at 50%, mostly to dry out the wrapper because it is humid here in Austin. Enjoyed with some Woodford Reserve while the sun set with some good friends. Cold draw: hay and fresh tobacco, with a bit of ground coffee First: Sourdough toast, café au lait, twang, and shortbread. Second: drip coffee with milk, twang calming down, suddenly moving to dark chocolate and espresso. A bit of spice is starting to show. “Taste like not too much burnt **** coffee.” -Dr. H. He clarified that this is a positive thing. Final third: spice is really coming out, And everything is getting progressively darker. Fruitcake, cinnamon, white pepper, clove, chocolate biscuit. I nubbed it down as far as I could. Overall a phenomenal smoke. The only other cigar I have regular smoke in this format is the Lusitania, and this was much more complex and enjoyable. That being said, I’m not sure I would pay $50 for it, but everyone has their own budget. Thanks again to Rob And Dee! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 19

Popular Post mbflash80 Posted June 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2019 Ive smoked a couple and both have been phenomenal...the price tag is steep and the work to find them steeper...but they are certainly memorable in my opinion. Last one I had two weeks ago with a glass of Dewars 25...a great combo... Thanks for the review! 8

SenorPerfecto Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I know more than a few people who would pay a lot more than $50 if offered. Few cigars are white whales upon release. This was.

javonazul Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Just got a box in today. Will try to give it a year from stamping date, but this review is encouraging. Thank you! And what a great way to welcome Penelope! Might use the idea and light the first one when my daughter turns 3. Thanks again! 1

I recommend a bit of dry boxing, it probably could have use a day or two. Out of curiosity, what’s the box code?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
