Popular Post HumidorJuan Posted June 1, 2019 Popular Post Posted June 1, 2019 Cuban twang off toasting the foot. Untreated leather and cocoa powder In the first few sips, huge smoke output and open draw with that big ring gage, but these first few draws were the most flavourful it would get. Very nutty in its core. Peanuts, hazelnuts. Spicy little cocoa tickle in my back throat. Hidden parts of dried fruit are now deep in the centre of the flavour profile and as the first third continues it’s churning peanut butter and now the leather tastes treated. I’m smoking a leather couch that has sat in a cigar lounge for years. I’m loving the draw on the petit Edmundo and it reminds me of Di’s remarks about disliking monte petit 2 a few 2424s ago, I don’t like MP2 either because it was one of the hottest burning sticks I’ve ever had and with petit Edmundo is everything that petit 2 wants to be. My burn is uneven but it’s not your fault Ed, let’s blame it on my garbage lighter and the wind. This cigar is on its own watch. Just such a slow burn happening. The flavours are decreasing to just Cuban twang as part 1 comes to an end. For part 2 it’s like part 1s flavours have started over with more intensity. I’m getting a touch of ammonia and mongrel more and more and think those issues will be solved with years of mellowing out but I don’t believe I’m smoking it too quick. I got that photo and as soon as i snapped it the ash fell off! Good timing. Ashless I see that it was tunnelling just a bit and after lighting the edges and evening it out a bit, peanut butter is back in a big way. The bitterness of those dark brown paper like casings that peanuts are in. I’m so blown away how many different flavours good tobacco leaf can conjure. We’re ending part 2 and the flavours are all present and mellow. I’m practicing not smoking too quickly and it’s paying off. I’m an impatient person in all things I do in life and learning how to smoke properly has actually brought some patience into things like dealing with my wild kids and taking my time with paperwork for my job. Halfway part three the mongrel has taken over and I’m out. 7/10 7
BoliDan Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 People say how good these are ROTT, and I agree. But I think they will be magic around 3 years... I dont know though, you dont need to wait for those bold flavors it presents ROTT, so I cant manage to keep my hands off them.? 1
Kai Ø Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Great stick, great review! I find the tubos to have a more complex flavour 1
