Popular Post Gamehawker
Well I have not smoked a Montecristo for years and so with "MRW" I thought I would break into my almost 3 years aged box of Montecristo Edmundo "AMO ABR 16" while roasting coffee today. Since these are from the El Laguito Factory I had very high expectations of these. And I have to say I was not disappointed. The Pre-lit draw was perfect and there was a taste of sweet honey. Upon lighting it up the flavor was a mix of chocolate, coffee and a slight taste of nutmeg. It continued into the first third of the cigar and the strength was medium. The second third was still a medium strength but the flavor slightly changed to a darker chocolate and toffee. The final third was still a medium strength and the flavor slightly changed a little darker chocolate and the flavor was a slight taste molasses too. The draw was perfect throughout the whole smoke (I did not have to touch up the cigar) and I did not want it to end so I smoked it down to the nub. It took about an hour to smoke this amazing cigar. Looking forward to the next cigar from this box and I am glad that I have 24 more of these fabulous smokes.
HopeUgood
Nice review, what is your most smoked cigar? An aged box of Edmundo sounds heavenly, thats a cigar I have yet to try.

Out of 1500 cigars that I have in my coolidors H Upmann makes up over 40% of them.

I would have to say the discontinued the Super Coronas were my favorie followed by the discontinued the Monarchs and then the H.Upmann No. 2.
