I no longer have the box for these as I threw it away to make space. Threw the cigars in a cab of PLPC and box of BPC and havent smoked one in about 3-4 years. Little did I know that they're no longer being produced and now I'm stuck in the dilema of really liking them but not being able to find any more. i guess nows as good a time as anh to try them out and see how they've progressed.

 

my memory of is not too good otherwise I wouldve smoked some sooner. i remember youthful harshness and too much wood notes.

 

v cut and away. cold draw is sweet hay and tobacco. 1st third starts off with very light cream and slight hint of stonefruit. i want to say a not too sweet white peach. and just like that, it''s gone. wood is in the background and the overall smoke is refined. 5-6 years has done this good, so far at least. sponge cake with a little bit of burnt toast.

 

2nd third continues witb the bakery theme. lots of bread notes. wood still in the background. sugar cookie. and the white peach slips in again. and gone. and back! this is turning out to be really good. the light peach is at the forefront and the wafts of a bakery have faded to the back. wood is gone.

 

last 3rd and the peach has faded again. toasted bread is strong and stays. burning down to the end, the cigar is still smooth and never gets harsh.

 

overall, this has been a very good cigar with surprising transitions. age has done this wonders and removed the rough edges and harshness. very light and mild which i dont normally associate with JL making me think this would be great for a morning smoke with coffee. sadly, i dont have time for morning smokes anymore with a 2 yr old running around.

 

91 pts and much better than the CoRo i smoked last weekend. just slightly too mild for my current tastes but excellent discernable flavors. wish i could get another box or 2 but the 15 or so i have left over should last me quite a while.
