Bolivar Corona Junior ETP ABR 16 (BWRC)

Recommended Posts

This is the first stick from an HQ box received early December 2018.

Appearance: Dry, claro wrapper, slight box press.

Cold draw: hay

Draw when lit: perfect, with near perfect burn requiring very few minor touch ups

The cigar opened with a blast of pure cocoa that remained throughout the first quarter. As it progressed into the next quarter, the flavor profile shifted to coffee and earth, with the cigar becoming noticeably stronger.

The next quarter was dominated by a bitter dark chocolate flavor that finished with a slight sweetness, however briefly. The bitter chocolate remained dominant until I neared the band, at which time the strength receded and a pleasant woody taste emerged until I put it down.

Medium to medium full, this would be an ideal afternoon coffee companion in my world. Smoking time was around 45 minutes. I give it an 88, with the hope that more rest will smooth out the edges a bit.
