The fact is that RASS is very popular, and participation at 24:24 is difficult for me because of the difference in time zones. When I wake up and look at the topic 24:24 I see "ALL SOLD". But I was glad when I received the box LAU May 2016 (age 1.5 years) - wait a bit and smoke!Cigars have a matte non oily Colorado Claro wrapper. Very smooth and high density rolled. 1/3 Wood / charcoal, black pepper, a little salt, a bit of cream, sour, hazelnut skin aftertaste. There is some similarity with SP Belicosos. Great flavor. Medium high strength, high opacity, medium-full body. 2/3 Driftwood, cream, a little roasted nut, a little black pepper, sour aftertaste. The strenght becomes high, when I doing puffs, it burns the mucous like strong alcohol. Ash bends down and asks to be broken off. The cigar has warmed up well, but remains stiff and elastic, this is typical of many RAs. Freed from ashes, each inhale now explodes with a portion of saturated smoke, and the nuts become salty. Burning is perfect and even. Tightening became easier. Smoke does not want to dissolve in the air and slowly floats in front of me. 3/3 The pepper got stronger again, but disappears with slow puffs, the flavor of roasted tobacco was added, the smoke became denser and heavier. All the same burning alcohol in the mouth. In the background a little cream. Roasted nuts then disappear, then reappear. The band is easily removed, heated by the heat of the cigar. The body of the cigar becomes soft, but keeps its shape perfectly. Tastes are mixed, but not overwhelmed with pitches - this is rarely the case for strong cigars in the last third. Aftertaste - tingling tongue. Summary. Of course, RASS is one of the best Cuban Robustos. The cigar has a high filling density and excellent construction. After 2-3 years, the cigar becomes very interesting, it reaches the peak of the form of taste at the age to 5 years. If you like wood&pepper Cuban flavor - enjoy them. Young RASS have a sharply peppery taste, the high fortress drowns out other tastes, puffs look like the hot air of a Finnish sauna, you need to be patient for 2 years and the cigar will begin to reveal all it's tastes. 5/5 stars. 11 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I love this cigar, just bought a box on 24:24 sale Tuesday, I haven’t bought a full box since 1998, not sure what the box code was. I wonder if the flavor profile has changed much since then, I bought one in Mexico at lcdh in June, it was a dud, pale wrapper, and it was loose. I’m hoping to have better luck from the forum.
