FOH Xmas & New Year Review Comp 2018 R&J Short Churchill

From an SMA FEB 18 box. After a few weeks of sore throat cold and no cigars at all, it was great to have a Xmas smoke.

Mainstream brand? Common size? Regular production? Young stick? Check, check, check, check. Absolutely delicious though, with impecable appearance, draw and burn. Beautiful long ash. Stored at 65:65 and smoked quite slow in chilly but still outdoor conditions. With a glass of Warre’s 1991 vintage Port, a perfect accompaniment to the sweet cherry, Turkish delight and chocolate cake smoke. Middle eastern spices, touches of burnt pastry and freshly turned earth. I’ll not be ageing this box, they are smoking great young.
