Popular Post Wailbait Posted October 1, 2018 Popular Post Posted October 1, 2018 I’ll start this out by saying - I got super excited about using this weekend review to motivate me into trying one of the Bushidos or Eslavos. Fancy sticks that I have wanted to check in on. But. When I opened the humidor, staring at me was this great box of RASS that I was just so curious about. 5 years has been a sweet spot. And this box and code has been good to me. So I figured I’d scrap the fancy stuff and see how a trusty old friend has fared since last visit. Prelight was awfully pretty. Just an even colored wrapper with a wonderful weight. Looking forward. Paired with a Manhattan made with Cocchi. First third softer than I recalled. Admittedly it’s been a year since the last one but it was pretty mellow. Slight fruit notes. Burn was super. m Second third This is the jam. Literally and dad-joke-figuratively. Lots of fruit coming through. It’s exactly as I recall. I believe I have about 10 more from this box but this one makes me feel like they are at a great point right now. final third. This is where the weight of the cigar factored in. There was a lot of tobacco packed in. Got stronger but always pleasant. That said, I might give these another year or three and see how the last act resolves. Ill save the fancy stuff for another day. Probably many other days. Give me a RASS in the meantime. 7
Kaptain Karl Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 I’ve had a few from the exact code/month I believe! I got straight strawberry jam and brown sugar from them...honestly one of the best cigars I’ve ever had!
Wailbait Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 If I have one regret, it’s that I don’t have a whole box. I think these are just great!!
MadMax Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 MUR was the best factory code in '12 &'13. The best box of BBF's I've ever had was MUR SEP 12, all the BBF boxes after that never tasted the same! Sick of chasing BBF's! Great review! 1
