I brought back a nice selection of custom rolls from Reynaldo in Cuba early August.  They have been through the freezing process and in my humidor now for about 5 weeks.  How much rest should I give them?  I'm very new to CCs and brand new to custom rolls so resting them is still a learning process.  If I have to wait until next Spring I will, but would love to enjoy a few before Winter hits here in Kansas.  I would hate to smoke one and waste it if it wasn't at full potential.

Take one this weekend.

If blown away.....keep going until you aren't being blow away.

When the music stops, 6 months and try again.

Just my rule of thumb

Yup, agree with Rob. Givem a try. If they’re  thin gauge they might be ok. If thick gauge you’ll probably find they need a year or so.

I've done a number of things, first trip was March '17 - smoked a few fresh from different rollers to get a reference point. Fresh Monsdale seemed amazing but then again everything seems to smoke well on the island. Most of the stuff I brought home rested for 6 months before I dipped in - a lot of the rolls are wet compared to my preference. The Alex lanceros I never got round to trying until 1+year later and they honestly were so good. Still have a few different vitola I haven't sampled yet like his corona.

Reminds me to check how the Reynaldo's are coming along since last Nov trip!

My rule of thumb has evolved to the following: either in the first 2 months, or else 2 years later. Anything in between has almost always resulted in great disappointment (read: sick period).
