Recommendations for next vacation! March-April

Because I'll be flying out of Dubai (preferably Emirates), this time I would like to stay within reason. I was thinking 8 hr flight away max. Preferably 2-5 hrs. Nice weather, and I prefer the beach. LCDH/cigar retailer a plus, but not necessary. I'm 27 and going by myself. I've covered much of central/south america, italy, spain, france, and plenty of random countries here and there. 

I'm big on bucket list items and various adventures, but I can do with relaxing on the beach as well.

Bali-about 9 hours from Dubai.Plenty of beach,strong local and friendly culture,plenty of other stuff to do and explore.Take your own smokes.Report back and tell us it was one of the most wonderful places on earth you have visited so far ?

As I have never visited any Asian countries, Bali/Indonesia was in the top 3 in my list. Dubai to Bali is ~9ish hrs though. ....is it worth it?

Plenty of other countries to visit in Asia aswell, I'm biased towards Malaysia, Japan and South Korea are also fantastic. Do some research and see what you think

Just came back from Bali last month, love the place, awesome coffee and food places and tonnes of other things to do.

Only thing it lacks is a decent cigar shop and even duty free it had one of the most shocking storage facilities for cigars...basically left them out with the cigarettes in the open duty free section.  Good luck with anyone buying from there.

Japan and South Korea are always worth a trip, but the weather might not be conducive to days on the beach...

How about South Africa?  At 9.5 hours flight-time Cape Town is a bit further than you wanted, but it has the beaches and the weather.  Wine country is within driving distance, and so are safari parks...

I actually did think about Africa! South Africa, Kenya, and Ethiopia are on my list as well. I do love wine...

9ish hours on the plane is top for me. I would've preferred a shorter distance/flight, somewhere around 3 or 4, but I have heard great things about Bali.

As for the cigars, I'll have enough with me + the Emirates terminal at DXB has a really great selection. I have an option of staying up to 18 days, but I was thinking that was a bit much. Somewhere around 8-12 should be enough for me.

Any hotel or Airbnb recommendations? I'd like to be within walking distance or on the beach, and obviously need a place where I can smoke. Maybe even just a balcony?

Thanks for all the recommendations guys! Bali was indeed a magical place.

 

So instead of creating another thread, I decided to just add to my current one. 

Again, will be flying from Dubai, 18 days in length. Don't want to spend a boatload of money, but want to be comfortable. Bali was laughably economical. 

I am currently torn between a ski/snowboard vacation, since it has been ages for me, and another warm weather/beach vacation.

What do you recommend? I am open to anything. I would say let's stick to Europe, Asia, and possibly Africa. I am planning on Australia and New Zealand sometime this year (2019), so that will be thrown out. Airbnb and hotels welcome.
