Arctic Dude Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Anyone familiar with what the prices of Cubans are like in Hungary??? For a Canadian, would they seem reasonable?? Also, best to find the LCDH, or does anyone know any other places there?? My Brother is leaving tomorrow and I want to give him a little intel before he jets off!! Much obliged!! ? 1
jerrybrowne Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Cigar Tower is the only place I know of in Budapest. Pretty pricey. It’s located in an area where lots of tourists visit so your brother will probably be in the area anyway. Worth popping in.....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro 1
fundadores Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 Actually people are really into cubans over there, I think the country had some connections to cuba at some point and it developed from that. There should be a great selection 2
canadianbeaver Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 We were there in May. There is only one cigar store in Hungary, mentioned above, called Cigar Tower. Guys who have been there and who have reviewed it have been pretty critical. They are tough owners and hosts, have taken so much crap from visitors, but let me tell you, it can be just great. Some of the cigars are old and totally not smokeable. Ignore those. Treasure hunt for good ones if you want. It was here we smoked Trinidad Vigia tubos for the first time. A few doors away there is the wonderful outside deck at the Blue Fox bar. Sit there, smoke and drink. We stayed at the hotel beside it. Borsodi is Hungarian draft beer. so nice! Have a great time. But go with the flow. This a limited place for cigars. Bring your own. Until you to get to Vienna. Then you will go nuts. CB 1
