Baccy Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 So what's the deal here? Is it some sort of unique chemical reaction that only happens with the old SLR bands? Perhaps I'm mistaken but I don't believe I've ever seen the bands of any other marca react to age in the same way as SLR...
mt1 Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 Got any pics? Can't say I've noticed how bands age differently. Does anyone know why some bands (esp when you buy singles) have some green on them, almost like the way copper oxidizes?
Fuzz AI Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 Because they are oxidising. Happens all the time on my PLPCs. 1

I assumed they were all just printed paper, is there some kind of copper, metal, or other ink that oxidizes? I do see it a lot on Por Larranaga's and also Ramons but never on a montecristo, maybe something using in the band?

Baccy Posted July 15, 2018 Author Posted July 15, 2018 I'll take a pic so people can see what we're talking about....
