pirates... another beyond the shark

watched the latest pirates last night (yes, i am down at the shack on the beach which has netflix - good place to do some work sans distractions and hopefully some fishing though that looks unlikely). 

as boring as imaginable. another franchise that has gone dismal. two good flicks and three utter wastes. i read that the budget was $350 mill but it took something like $800. mindboggling. don't blame the writers and studios if people pay to watch crap. they said they wanted it to be like the first one. Well it sort of was. Just much duller.

The only good bit was when I suddenly realised that the supposed island in the Caribbean was actually the beach about 50 yards from where I was sitting. The scene with the wedding inside the whale skeleton and either side of it.
