What's in your glass tonight?

What's in your glass tonight, what did you pair it with, and how did it turn out? - Starting a thread as a spin-off of a question BTWheezy asked me last night....Apologies if this has been around the block a few times.

Thanks grizz...what’s in your glass tonight?  I’m eyeballing some Basil Hayden myself.  I accidentally got into some Pikesville Rye (110 proof) a couple nights ago.  Loved it but it reminded me that I ain’t as young as I used to be!

BTWheezy - Well, in the glass for last night was more than a few glasses of Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky pared with a Cohiba Secreto for round one, and San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe for round two. A buddy brought the Nikka, I added the smokes. Not typically a sweet whisky drinker and never had that particular Nikka before, but the sweetness paired very nicely with the same of the Secreto and El Principe. Preferred the combination of the El Principe best.

Quite a few topics in the drinks subforum:

Regardless, sounds like you had a great evening! :buddies:

I was very impressed with the Nikka CG the first time I tried it (at my local B&M), and just like you said it pairs very well with cigars. Cigar-free night for me so I'm probably going for something peaty. Ardbeg perhaps..

I've been snagging some limited knob Creek bottles recently. Not sure what I'll have tonight. 2ad1a255239776315b475cbf29f36efe.jpg6642d0b43859cf45256e4630345837c8.jpg
