Partagas factory codes question

I’m looking at a couple of boxes of partagas from OCT 2012. One is code ALT; the other TUO. I doubt it’s going to make much differece which I choose, but I figured I might as well see if any of you guys with encyclopedic knowledge might have an insight to share with me. Thanks.

If you are able to inspect in person I wouldn't even worry about the codes and go with whichever feels/looks/smells best. Likewise, if you can't inspect I would ask the vendor to pick the best of the 2. My 2c

I just received a box from our Czar, Parti 898's with UBM Sept 17. Is UBM the Partagas factory? Just curious.

Believe MSU is 2017 code for Partagas

Just my luck. As i was getting ready to order, a couple boxes of BLP XXX 08 popped up. I snagged one of them, and asked them to choose whichever looks best. No guarantees they’ll do so, but i put in the note. We’ll see.
