Kitchen Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Although I am not going to the Festival this year, I would love to visit Cuba again next year, possibly during the Festival. I noticed on the Habanos SA website that payment is due before arrival via a bank transfer. Since no USA banks are allowed to do business with Cuba, it begs the question how do USA citizens make payment?
Corylax18 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 The Spanish "Half" of HSA will take care of you. They will most likely charge your card, or base the transaction in Spain. Although its still "Embargo Busting" if that money makes it to the Island, a portion of it most certainly will. I booked a few nights through AirBNB this last year and my deposit was handled the same way. The Partagas Festival avoids all this by taking your reservation, then a Cash (for Americans) transaction on island when you get there to pick up your tickets. 1
ErikB Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Don’t know if things have changed but five years ago there were a lot of people (Russians mostly) paying with cash during registrationVerzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
