Popular Post Jfeath74 Posted January 3, 2018 Popular Post Posted January 3, 2018 This review is for a SUB ENE 12 H. Upmann Magnum 46, paired with an Other Half Brewery All Green Everything Triple Dry Hopped Imperial IPA. This cigar, similar to all other cigars from this box was an amazing smoke. They have mellowed out over the last 6 years and lost a bit of the young Mag 46 edge, coming in now at a solid medium bodied. However the flavors are still coming through in spades, with what I would consider medium bodied/full flavored. The cigar had a light brown claro/colorado styled wrapper, a bit rugged and veiny, but once cut it had an absolute perfect draw, which lead to a razor sharp burn that smoked like a dream and required zero touch up. Floral notes on the pre draw, orange peel and spice/nutmeg notes came through strong in the first third with a baked bread profile on the retro hale. Half way through a strong coffee/espresso flavor worked its way in and eventually dominated the smoke profile by the final third, with very pleasant hints of vanilla coming in and out. This box of Mag 46's have all been amazing and easily my best smoking box at the moment, consistency with flawless construction, while powerful and complex flavors, what a lovely combination! 6
