This Petit Edmundo was one of my Christmas Day smokes. It was also one of my first ever cuban cigar purchases that came in a 3x5 box of tubos. Before I ditched the box, I wrote the date down, but not the factory code, so NOV 13 will have to do! I had very high expectations for this smoke as every prior MPE from this box had been absolutely fantastic, the only problem I've had is keeping my hands off of them to allow them to get some age, after this one I only have 2 left. Everything was lined up for a perfect Christmas day smoke, as I was saving one of these for a special occasion and given the high expectations I built myself up for disappointment... The cigar, like every other MPE from the box was a medium full chocolate bomb with delicious flavors, that was the positives. Unfortunately the positives end there, a loose draw bordering wind tunnel led to a wonky burn that kept going out. As much as I tried touching up and smoking patiently it kept buring uneven and then going out, no bueno... There are a few silver linings here though, one is that the flavor was on, at least in the beginning. It was also a small format cigar so the headache was short lived and I had a few more Christmas Day smokes on deck that made me quickly forget my troublesome MPE. I was also very thankful that this was not the last of what I know is an amazing box of cigars, so I have two more to revitalize my memory of one of my favorite boxes in my collection, I suppose one dud out of a box isn't worth complaining about!

Sorry to hear that. Please don't lose faith as most MPEs are excellent.

Happy New Years.
