Drguano Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I was flying home last Monday and picked up a bottle of Havana Club 7 year in the Heathrow Duty Free. One of the lads pushing samples said that I get a little bottle of bitters for free. I did not look at it until today and thought, whoa, this is a bit forward for a Cuban company. Then I read the back and see the bitters are from Germany... 1
madandana Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I'm glad you made it home for another Vikings Win. I'm sure your packing this evening for another flight out tomorrow?
BogeyBob Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Just got back from Cuba myself, and we toured the Havana club Museum. They do seem to be pushing these extra additives, putting a few drops in to spice up the rum. Different essences were: honey, coffee, aromatic leaf, and island prefer. i preferred it straight, with a cigar. My wife prefers coffee flavor.
Martin_F Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 That’s actually good news, as it means they could legally sell it in the US. If it wasn’t for the ongoing trademark dispute with Bacardi. Honestly though, I think it doesn’t really have anything to do with Cuba. Just shows how aggressively Pinot Richard is marketing the Havana Club brand on the European market. Or how important the European market is to them.
OZCUBAN Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Makes you wonder where the cigars come from ? 1
