HarveyBoulevard Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 There are literally thousands of these guys running around the hills and wandering around the neighborhood. You can hear them and the coyotes getting into it almost every night. Fun noises while smoking a cigar in the evening. 2
CaptainQuintero Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 That's excellent, I love the things, such soft faces how have they come to be in such numbers around you?

About a decade ago, a bunch got away from a farm. Since then their population has exploded. There are a lot of orange groves and several water sources so they just roam around at will. What is funny is that it's not that rural of an area. I live in a fairly large city but there is a fair amount of open space and a lot of hills. We usually see them milling around the Orange Groves eating. 1
luv2fly Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Reminds me of Bonaire. They are everywhere especially the roads. They are protected there and to hit one would be bad. They have the right of way. I like them. Many there are friendly. They have a sanctuary one can visit which is fun.
steelcity Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Donkeys/mules/ass will beat the shit out of a coyote. I live in an equestrian neighborhood and several people have guard donkeys to protect their horses. 1
PapaDisco Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 There’s a Churchill paraphrase in there somewhere ... ‘Mules look up to us, horses look down on us, but donkeys treat us as equals’ 1 1
