Guest Nekhyludov Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Dimensions: 52 x 6 1/8" Box Code: LUB MAY 14 Cigar has a light, golden red - almost Connecticut - wrapper with a medium sheen and subtle veins. Cap is a darker Colorado; ash is flaky white/gray. Starts with a perfect burn and a firm draw with full smoke. The aroma begins earthy and peppery, while the flavor displays cedar and nuts. Soon after, a pronounced floral note appears over the papery finish. Floral note is like Mariposa perfume, full and distinct, hitting the aroma and lingering on the finish in the second third. That basic profile holds into the second half. In the final third, the perfume and nut aspects balance nicely. Smoke stays cool and flavorful well past the band. Pairs well with a sweet, creamy coffee (Cuban-style Cubita, con leche). A beautiful, complex, medium-bodied pirimide. Score: 93
TheMonk Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Nicely done! Got a box from that same boxcode, but feel they still need quite a bit of age to really develop more, wasn't a big fan of the ones I've had thus far.
