H Upmann Royal Robusto LCDH MEG AGO 15: Ode to 47 to 52 review week

Tonight I decided to have one of my rotation constants, the HU RR. I bought my first boat today, and I wanted to celebrate with something I knew was going to be a sure thing, and this box has been nothing short of spectacular.

Pre-light

The cigar is rolled perfectly, evenly packed and the wrapper is beautiful. The aroma is a musky barnyard and the draw is just right.

1st 3rd

Very nutty, with a touch of white pepper and sweetness. Roasted peanuts linger until the next puff and this stick puts off a ton of smoke.

2nd 3rd

The ash just dropped and the second 3rd transitions into a floral hay flavor. The burn has been razor sharp and there have been no construction issues.

Final 3rd

The peanuts are back with a hint of cocoa and sweet hay. Construction is still fantastic and the smoke is still very cool. I will definitely be nubbing this.

Final thoughts:

I don't know that I have ever had a bad Royal Robusto, but of 4+ boxes I've been through, this box has been a rockstar. This stick was no exception. I'm not the best at picking out flavors but the RR makes it easy.

There are still a few puffs left and then I'll call it quits. Also here's a pic of the ride

Nice review I recently and was very pleased. It is s 20 count box and I am forcing myself to lay them down for a while. Great stick

Nice review and even nicer boat! The Royal Robustos I have had do seem very consistent.

You mean a 10 count box? The Royal Robustos never existed in 20ct boxes.
