Ken Gargett Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 now i'd be the last to suggest that americans were wuzzes but one needs to ask. i was looking at the preview for the skins - tampons game and noticed the injury list for the tampons. INJURIES OUT WR Michael Clayton (Turf Toe) turf toe? what the hell is that? stubbed his toe and had to go home - probably only earning about 10 mill a year. or did he just not clean his toenails and stuff grew? if this just a tampa bay thing (wouldn't be surprised) or do other americans suffer from this? does this mean that we'll have terrorists laying grass around the states? please tell me that it really is serious.
genevapics Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 With all respect, you obviously know not what you speak. Turf toe hurts like a son-of-a-*****. It is a common injury among football players.
Tampa1257 Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Tampa is still going to kick the **** out of the Redskins, or should I say PinkSkins which makes up their real favorite colors...............
Ken Gargett Posted January 7, 2006 Author Posted January 7, 2006 » Tampa is still going to kick the **** out of the Redskins, or should I say » PinkSkins which makes up their real favorite colors............... just catching up on the forum and sorry to hear of recent troubles but great to see that you must be well recovered, or have gone completely mad.
Ken Gargett Posted January 7, 2006 Author Posted January 7, 2006 now i understand - in australia, we still play our sport on real surfaces, like grass, so turf toe doesn't exist. that said, i still think it has to be close the wuzziest injury known to man. and apologies for not goolgling it - i just didn't believe it could be real.
guilow Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I heard Brunell is a game-day decision with his hang nail problem and all....

I'm surprised you've never heard of it, with the way those cricketeers go at it. But I suppose they do have to careful so as not to spill any tea on their blouses.

Colt45 Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 » i'd rather face any offensive line you caree to name than lillee and » thommo in full flight and we'd all have more chance of survival. Instead, we'll put you at quarterback, and have you face a good defensive line, none of whom will be named lily.

Colt45 Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 » Jeez, the septics play in tights (panty hose) for christ's sake!!! » » Take any septic "football" team, remove the padding & put 'em against any » world class rugby union team. Rugby?! That's what happens when you remove the pads and become afraid to really hit someone! Funny the first thing noticed was the tightness of the pants - not that there's anything wrong with that.
Chicago Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 » as they said at the time, » » ashes to ashes, dust to dust, » if lillee don't get you, » thommo must. Actually, Ken is correct. Football is short bursts of concentrated punishment. Probably not as brutal as his sport. However, the real man's game is ice hockey. Those guys really take punishment and are inmho, the best athletes in North America. That being said, I can't wait to see either the Bucs or the Skins come to Chi town and get murdered!
DocRKS Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 » » » INJURIES » OUT WR Michael Clayton (Turf Toe) » turf toe? what the hell is that? Think of 'athletically induced GOUT!!' --- IT HURTS!!!!!! but only when you are breathing or walking or sitting or have the foot elevated or iced or trying to get to sleep or when you are awake --- other than those times - it's hardly worth noticing.;-)
Shooter Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 » Tampa is still going to kick the **** out of the Redskins, or should I say » PinkSkins which makes up their real favorite colors............... Oh Tampa--would you like a little salt to eat with that Crow!!??:-D Don't underestimate our 'Skins!!
Colt45 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Mr. Gargett, assuming you are google challenged, I found this for you:
rumrogue Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I'm with you mate. Jeez, the septics play in tights (panty hose) for christ's sake!!! Take any septic "football" team, remove the padding & put 'em against any world class rugby union team. See the septics run for "Mommy"!!!! ;-) ;-) ;-)
