Popular Post CatchNRelease Posted May 20, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 20, 2017 ...that's what my wife says anyway Lol My desktop humidor hasn't been adequate for quite some time so I've been putting my boxes and overflow singles in zip top bags with boveda packs. That got unruly since a recent 24:24 buying spree started showing up at my door. I don't have the scratch to invest in a large humidor so I figured I'd go the coolidor route. Bought one that looked like plenty of space, but it's not even close to enough. I have 3 more boxes inbound and this thing is FULL. guess I'm going back to get a second one from the store 6
awk6898 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 I use ZipLoc storage containers. Great seal, cheap, AND see-through (which I like). It doesn't have the thermal protection that coolers have though if that's a big selling point for you. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk 4
Guest Nekhyludov Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 This probably borders on heresy around here, but I'm resolved not to buy any more storage. I only buy cigars that I have a place for in my desktop or cabinet. The idea being that it will force me to curate my stock very carefully, so I'll only have great cigars that I'm truly invested in. I can buy more when I finish or consolidate an existing box. Of course, in practice, it also means that the occasional dud box stings that much more. But even then, it motivates me to get rid of the duds quickly.

My wife did not like them so, I went with these: They offer different sizes and shapes. Hold humidity and temp rock solid. https://www.zargescases.com/products/shipping-storage/shipping-storage-standard-cases/k470/ I do have to admit that the one pictured above, fully loaded, needs someone the size of the guy in the Green Mile to lift and move... so no-one will be coming in and running off with my stash. 6

At those prices, why not just spend a bit more and get a cabinet? 6
TBird55 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 I finally broke down and bought a cabinet last year, temp and humidity controlled. Best decision I have made, regarding cigars. Just wish I had ordered it years ago, and by the way, the cabinet I thought was larger than I ever needed, is packed. 1

To each his own, and I was just offering a different option for the OP's consideration. I paid about ~$300 per and have two, which combined will hold over 3,500 sticks. No fuss, no muss and piece of mind on climate stability - but the ziplock containers will provide most of that too and are the least expensive but ugliest option. 4

OP did say he has a limited budget though. None of us are truly right in the head....lol 1
BuzzArd Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Those Ziplock boxes look like a great storage solution, and stackable!! If you look at the forum at all, you're in a bit of deep poo poo for storage. Ask me how I know.... 1
