marty922 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 This was my introduction to Soundgarden and Chris Cornell. Courtesy of Pump Up The Volume stoundtrack
Blazer Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 Always liked his music, but never saw him live. Did that look & sound like a normal performance of Black Hole Sun, cause he seemed a bit out of it to me?
feral Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 Earliest memory of Soundgarden, in 1990 I watched them open for Danzig. They were boo'd off stage. It took years for my musical palate to mature enough to appreciate them. Powerful voice. Sad loss. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk

I remember hearing Buck Cherry open for Godsmack in 98. I would have swapped those bands in two seconds. Some great music happened in the 90s.
feral Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 I agree. It bums me out that so many of my musical heroes from that era are dead. Another of my favorite memories from back then is getting to see the Ramones live. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk
Stump89 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 I remember the first time I listened to Superunknown. Such a powerful voice that transitioned so well from Soundgarden to Audioslave, etc.
