Partagas Short  GEO MAR 15 :   Ode to the 40 and 42 gauge review week

Recommended Posts

This is my first review so bear with me. Still working on separating flavors unless they are in your face

Partagas Short paired with a Diet Coke enjoyed while grilling.

Clipped the end and the draw was perfect so I fired it up.

Opening: all wood with spice on the retrohale. Starts on the strong side of medium.

1st Half: smooths out quite a bit and it's straight on medium now. Waves of mild sweetness come and go and I'm getting bread notes but mostly wood and spice throughout.

2nd Half: the sweetness is gone now and it's all woody notes. Not entirely pleasant compared to the first half. I miss the small blasts of sweet I was getting. Didn't feel the need to nub this one.

Total smoke time about 30min. Just in time to preheat and grill dinner.

I do like those little sweet notes when they last the whole cigar. Make for a great smoke with a cappuccino.  Sorry it fizzled for ya, but I I've had about 75 of em over the years and I feel most keep the notes you prefer the whole time.
