SOHO HAVANA Pinot

For the Aussies out there looking to pick up a  good Pinot drop. 

I was actually looking at SOHO wines (from Kiwiland) after Di and I enjoyed a bottle of their Pinot Gris over my birthday weekend last month. 

It was by coincidence that I saw that they had a SOHO Pinot Noir at Dan Murphy (liquor retailers) called "Havana"

Do you believe in fate?   Hell it was wine and it had Havana on it......as far as I am concerned God wanted me to buy a dozen bottles on the spot. Thanks JC  

This is a big flavoursome jammy/berry driven Kiwi Pinot. Great weight on the palate. 

Ken has often said that I am a barbarian and the only Pinot I like are the ones that taste like Shiraz.   How utterly demeaning. 

Not only do they need to taste like shiraz but they have to be cheap!   You will buy the  SOHO HAVANA Pinot for $28 AUD which is a good price for a very good Kiwi Pinot.

demeaning to the pinot. normally, being a barbarian and not liking pinot would be considered anything but mutually exclusive but for you? no, that covers it.

seriously? hey, they say that labels sell most wine, though they are, and i mean this without a shred of disrespect, usually talking about the wine bought by women in their early 20s. i like marlborough pinot but if you like it, i am immediately highly skeptical.

i have served you endless number of great pinots and time after time you tell me how much you like pinot, dismiss the wines (and i am talking about wines up to premier cru burg levels) and then lap up a big barossa high alcohol shiraz like a dying man crawling out of the desert and first spotting a saucer of water. i have given up serving you pinot. it is waste.

recommend a cigar and you have my complete attention (well, you still have some way to make up for the Monte Cs) but recommend a pinot and, you'll forgive me i hope, i'm as convinced as much as a politician telling me that the government is here to help.
