Should we...shouldn't we...The Chicken

Those who have followed the reports of the recent FOH Havana tour know that Glen had a rather ...."BIG" week. 

Less Glen, we had 7 people in our house and the discussions started around Monday about an appropriate prank.  Nate was the ringleader...as he normally is...Nate is the one in the vid baring his buttocks 

Nate decided we needed a live chicken. 

Now finding a live chicken that some unknown Cuban is willing to part with ....even temporarily...is not easy. You can only imagine how that conversation would go 

"Can we borrow your chicken?  No harm will come to it. We just need to put it in a bed with a large white guy" 

With the help of Jose, a chicken was located and on the following Saturday morning it arrived at the house 8am. 

Glen was still out on the town from the night previous....he arrived back at the house around 9 am.  Perfect. 

The rather vocal chicken was placed in his bed and covered with a blanket. 

Glen goes into his room to catch a few hours sleep before catching up for lunch. 

While not caught on the Vid....the squawking of both the chicken and Glen was priceless.  Just what you need after a huge night out

It took me a couple views to get my head around the fact that he was going to bed at 8am from the previous night! The daylight should have been my first clue.

What is it with you and chickens.

Not often I'm lost for words nor without any idea what's going on but here's a view from the inside. 

I was a little jaded after a big night with stu fox, Andy, Keith and Robert, I mean it was an epic night. Got home about 0900 I think and the boys couldn't do enough for me "here's some water"  "what happened last night?" Classic delay tactics, that I was oblivious too. 3 of my most trusted comrades, pooch, fuzz and Jose were the ones I didn't suspect would ever roll me. 

So after fiddling with my door lock for about 30 seconds I manage to lock myself in my room and take my shirt off. It's dark, I kick my shoes off looking forward to a couple of hours sleep, I've literally agreed to meet the president in 2 and half hours for lunch. All is well, then something happens, not sure exactly, but had a feeling something wasn't right. Lay back and suddenly all hell breaks loose. I stand up, I here some sqwarking and something the size of a medicine ball is flying around the room in front of my face in the dark. 

I must be dreaming, I think, no something really isn't right. I turn on the light, it takes me what seems like a lifetime to realise chicken little is having a breakdown in my room. Seriously this chook is going off his head, he's bouncing from one side of the room to the other. I literally have no idea what to do, so I do what every grown man would do at 9am, drunk with a chicken in the room. I leave. Open the door to a bunch of giggling fools and I think I see the president shaking his head as he walks away.

i love you all, and if I could have caught him, who knows I may have loved that chicken too. He had a beautiful plumage. 

Thanks to all of you, my wife asked why there were feathers in my suitcase on my return. I still haven't thought of an excuse that would wash so I showed her this video. Expecting a little sympathy I was betrayed again "hilarious " she declares. Guy can't catch a break

Just saw this.  ABSOLUTELY EPIC.

It was REALLY a great night out, and a great trip.  The boys gave me a thrilling send-off, and I'm forever grateful for their camaraderie and friendship.

That said, so freaking AWESOME of a prank on Glen!!!!  LOL.
