Habana Mike Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Nice clip. Remember to include the 20% markup from CUC to USD when comparing.... 2

Pilsner14 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Habana libre certainly has one of the best single for purchase cigar selections in Havana.
Ryan Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 They had a very impressive selection of stock in their walk-in humidor last week too.
rckymtn22 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I was in Varadero a couple weeks ago and the 2 Lcdh's there had lots of stock.

It seems 20% is a little high, from what I gather the cost to exchange USD to CUC is 13% and if you use Euros the cost is between 6 to 9%. Calculating that into the price there's still some significant savings
Habana Mike Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Yes, at .87US to the CUC it's about a 15% markup - the 5CUC Md'O works out to about $5.75USD - still a bargain!

Actually there were even bigger bargains the Trinidad Fundadores and Cohiba Robustos there's significant savings. It kind of strange how deep the discounts are on some cigars and not nearly as prevalent on others but all in all I believe going to Cuba is the lowest prices world wide even taking into account duty free places like Andorra. Additionally if we want to bring in more than the $800/100 cigar duty free limitation its only 4% duty above that I hope a Cuba trip is in my near future 1
