D4 - partagas review comp 2016

Haven't had a smoke in like 3 weeks - had an early mark, sun was out the Mrs wasn't home from work yet... PERFECT

Reached into the fridge got a stone and wood, reached into the wineador and got a D4 from August 2014 (GEO)

She lit beautifully and I was away - ah!

Draw had just the right resistance and was rolled great.

First third

First couple of puffs were flavoursome, then it just went quiet - no! Couple in this box had been phenomenal and some had been lacklustre

Second third

BANG! Theeerrrre it goes it has my attention now - the twang , the subtle pepper and a touch of red pepper - very nice - smoke production is less than usual - there's a hard spot so I gently roll between my fingers

Last third

In full swing now - the pepper is dominating and I love it - can taste a little dough and a hint of nuttiness - smoke production is pumping it's really opened up - so relaxed right now! Really enjoying this - been a while since I've had a cracker D4 and glad this one hit its mark.

I put it down just before nub down and then my Mrs gets home from work - great timing!

Time to get the grill going
