fabes Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 These review comps are fun for me because it's a great reason to break out the cigars I have set aside from trades/gifts/lucked upon. In this case we have a SCdLH Mercaderes which saw light as an LCDH release for a time. At just shy of 9yrs old this example is well constructed and firm to the touch. Average in looks, but very fragrant. Clipping the cap reveals a sizable dimple and near perfect draw with a healthy resistance. First third was mostly burnt sugar and molasses. Both flavors I associate with the el principe. Second third transitioned into shortbread cookies with orange zest. Final third kept with the shortbread cookies and orange zest, but started to add in some cocoa. The last third reminded me of the first la fuerza I had. Overall this was a great cigar. I briefly thought about tracking down a box, but I think for the coin I would rather have 2 boxes of Fuerzas. 1
