Colt45 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I've been trying a few things with this over the past month - all start with the Herradura and Grand Marnier. With straight lime juice - just too astringent. With a couple of different orange / mango blends - nice depending on viscosity (prefer thinner). Easily the best for me was with the juice from a watermelon - wonderful. I really like the Herradura, and at some point will try the other offerings.
JohnS Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I tried Herradura Blanco for cocktails for my wife's birthday party last year and I so impressed, I've kept coming back to it ever since!
Phillys Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Herradura Anejo is really good, have about a half bottle left, I think it's time to revisit. Herradura Blanco with watermelon juice, I definitely want to try that!
Frank Rizzo Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Try mixing it with Barrett's ginger beer and a slice of lime. A "Mexican Mule" if you will. It's particularly nice on a warm evening.
Colt45 Posted September 25, 2016 Author Posted September 25, 2016 Recently tried the reposado - really liking it. Will try the Mexican mule, and the anejo as well.
Phillys Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Had the anejo this weekend, what a smooth, rich tequila. A bit pricy in Canada, but well worth it.
scottm12 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I'm a big tequila fan. Herradura and case noble are some of the best for around $50 us
Reevzy Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Herradura double barrel Reposado is absolutely divine. 11 months in charred oak barrels then transferred into new charred oak for just another month. You'd think it wouldn't make much of a difference but I got half way through my first bottle and went back to Dan's and bought another two, haven't seen it on the shelves since. 1
jrusso14 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Herradura reposado is one of my go to sippers. Can become a bit of an expensive habit considering how much tequila i usually drink. I also enjoy Milagro and Espolon when I am on a tighter budget. Both are good for the money
