drunkbuckeye Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I was thinking of the two and haven't seen them up head to head, but if you picked just one, which would it be? I've had a great siglo iv and great club allones, but never tried the gigantes. Am I missing out?
dflan82 Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 The RAG is one of my favorites. To me they are very good fresh (1 - 2 years) and get even better (flavors intensify) in years 3 - 5. I have not had any aged beyond that point but I would have no doubt that they would be excellent. Grab a few singles to try. I bought a box shortly after having my first RAG. I'm sure you will to!
TheMonk Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Under a year of age, definitely the Gigantes, IMO. I find that most DCs smoke pretty well ROTT, while that is definitely not the case with a lot of Cohibas.
PapaDisco Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I've smoked my RAG's ROTT and been very satisfied. I've never touched an SIV with less than a couple of years, not because I hate them fresh I've just never tried them sooner. Don't know why I have such discipline with the SIV I sure don't with the rest of my corona gordas!
earthson Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I'd go with the Siglo 4. The RAG just develops into such a nice smoke, once you smoke one with 5+ years, you'll never look back.
