El Presidente
Hand on heart ....you don't want to believe it. ....you can't hide from the facts. The box of cigars that were significantly better a year or so ago than they are today. What cigars do you own that you believe are going backwards (for your taste). Cigar and year ....full box code if you have it. Let's do a check with others experiences where we can.
JohnS
Wow...no one has any dud boxes, there all perfect! Of course, I jest. However, I'll get the ball rolling by offering up my ARG Dic 14 Cohiba Robusto Supremo box. It's not that they're going backwards, rather, they haven't developed as quickly as I'd like after 18 months. Then again, Cohiba is a marca that benefits from a good 3 to 5 year rest, so let's see how they settle.
Warren
I often think that there is very little that we do today that is better than we did yours ago. Quality and craftsmanship are often things of the past. It either costs too much to achieve or we just couldn't be bothered. We are in a sense devolving. Pilsner14
RyJ Duke....2009 LE. Has really softened with age year by year to boring cigar. First couple of years were much more fruity, cherry with some snap. Have aged but not to my taste. Good lesson learned....smoke em if they are favourable to your palate.....not to age just to age.
Notsocleaver
Punch DCs from 06. Bland and poorly constructed from the get go, but have degraded from meh to blah. I only have one or two left and I don't really know why I keep them around. On the other hand, my 07 VR Don Alejandros seemed like they had regressed for a while but the last couple have grown into some nice complex cigars, so many those punch just need another year...
