Hey gang,

Any updates on nice cigar lounges/bars/rooftops in Singapore?  I'm there the 18th and 19th of July, probably staying at the Grand Hyatt (but please suggest elsewhere if it comes with a decent, cigar friendly bar!).  I found these (very) old threads herein but have been having difficulty searching by sub-forum with the new format.  Please let me know any ideas you have.

"Robertson quay area:

La Maison du whisky (outdoors, wide range of whisky if you like that)

K bar @ UE square, it's a Japanese bar, near Roberson quay also

Cook & brew @ the westin (alfresco)

Quaich bar @ near Copthorne hotel (this is a speciality whisky bar also)"

Just remember that there is no duty free for tobacco when arriving, so don't bring too many cigars with you.

Looks like there's a cigar lounge of sorts in the Grand Hyatt itself?  Not much on it though.

had a brilliant arvo with werner and another mate about a year ago in a lounge in singapore. great place. also has the most extraordinary array of whiskies imaginable. it is seriously hard to find, side door in a crazy busy street and misleading signs, but worth it. will try and find the details if my computer allows.

The trouble cigar smokers face in Singapore is protecting their stash from getting damp. Singapore’s humidity is so unforgiving that even people who store their cigars in a proper cigar humidor say cigars don’t keep well.

You’re better off leaving it to the professionals. Here are the top five cigar bars in Singapore with an excellent range of fresh cigars, comfortable atmospheres and fine selections of whiskey:

La Casa Cubana

Centrally located, Casa Cubana is perfect for chilling at after a long day of work. (Photo credit: La Casa Cubana.)

A laidback cigar house situated in the Orchard Road district that houses an extensive range of high end cigars and whiskies. With a range of over 20 cigars and whiskies, this place is perfect for unwinding.

The schedule in Singapore ended up quite jammed, so I only had the opportunity to use the Martini Bar smoking room in the Grand Hyatt.  The bar is great, but the smoking room is so-so.  A step down in ambiance but had a nice chat with the other folks in there regardless.
