Ken Gargett Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 assuming most locals, at least from nsw or qld, will be watching the Origin somewhere. and enjoying a cigar. i must confess that i much prefer watching big games by myself. i can scream and swear and throw things to my heart's content (rob tried to test this once a few years back and turned up pre game, so i made him sit on the balcony and watch through the glass doors - in fairness, it was in the days he smoked filthy cigarettes and i was not having that inside - and when we tried to have an FOH event to watch it, someone called 'hookers R us' and the show was nearly as good as the game). this year, i'm cooking black pudding, fried onions, a tomato or two and some chilis. i will then lock the doors, pour a seriously good rum and fire up either a Lusi or a SLR DC - yet to be decided. at least then if the unthinkable happens, i can at least enjoy the food, rum and cigar.
