Box Dates

Have a question on dates of box orders from FOH. In order to get the specified dates on the 24/24 or 24/72, is there a higher chance of getting those dates with PSP or HQ boxes? I've received a couple of other, more recent dates (a year younger in one case) when purchasing clearance or handpicked boxes. I'm not bitching - just want to know if I should be buying higher quality offerings to get the dates listed. If that is the case, no problem. Just want to be sure I'm not missing something. Advice, suggestions welcome.

I can't speak for Rob, but sometimes in the listing it advises there is simply a variety of codes. I typically bribe the staff to get me the best ones errr, um, uh, I mean that in such cases it may be a bit of a crapshoot. For ones where they're is more specificity, you should receive what's listed (though I have received different before - usually aged sticks with better box codes due to the aforementioned reason, err...ummmm...

Short answer is there isn't a Higher chance

I can get caught out on a box code if I am not careful and sometimes I am caugt out.

As an example, on th TOS stock the other day, two box codes were listed. Only two boxes were the second code (same month). They came from the same mastercase. I check the code roughly on the first three boxes and then every 5th as I check the stock from a mastercase.

When doing a clearance, I check the stock and the date code on every 5th box. Where one code is vastly dominant (95% of stock)...I will put *mostly next to the date code. I still like the other code/codes to be in the same ballpark.

Now a different code can slip through particularly in clearance stock where there are generally somewhere between 40 and 100 boxes. If that causes a problem for anyone then that is my problem.
