Hey Brothas!!! My name is Adam Llado and I'm a member of several different forums, but I stumbled across this Cuban focused forum just a short time ago. I've been reading through all of the introduction threads to make myself more familiar with this community and you guys seem to be the marines of forums!! Close knit community whose love for cigars is only overshadowed by the love for your fellow brotha!! Hahahaha you guys even have a similar rule with 6 months of boot camp before being able to trade!

My experience with Cubans is close to zero, but with that being said, I know how to smoke a cigar and weather it be from Cuba or from the down under, I'm pretty sure I know which end to light a cigar! Haha

Good to meet all of you in advance. Any advice for my next post is appreciated!

Welcome, Adam. Great intro. Glad you found us.

Thanks bro!! Any suggestions Cubans if I get around to buying some? I like full bodied, spicy, meaty, earthy flavors. Also, do you guys have any threads just for Non Cubans or is it strictly Cubans?

Strictly CC forum. Every blue moon someone will mention NC's, but then they're banished to Siberia and never heard from again. nyah.gif

Check out some of the other sub forums. Lots of good stuff. Some of the collections owned by members, and their knowledge of CC's, storage, etc. will blow your mind.

I suggest you order the Sampler and decide for yourself what you like, and then tune into the daily 24/24 posts put up by Rob (El Presidente) for some great deals on boxes. One other bit of advice: try the smaller ring gauge CC's. The NC world is all about the 50 to 60 rg cigars, but you'll really be missing out on some great cigars if you don't try the 38 to 46 rg CC's. Really.

Greetings and welcome Adam!

I'd suggest you consider Partagas, Bolivar and Ramon Allones as starting points coming from your background, experience and palate as they're typically some of the more full-bodied smokes in the Habanos range.

There is some discussion on non-Cubans in the *****US subform as those in the States cannot just walk in to a shop and find Cuba's finest. Will take a little time and a few posts to access that one though.

You'll find there are a few folks local to you that frequent the board, though not necessarily natives - those are few and far between from what I've seen ;)

Hahaha well if that's the case I'm writing this to you from a little work camp in Siberia with some of the finest Vodka I've had. They don't mess around over here!

Will definitely check out sub forums as my knowledge of CCs is very limited.

Thanks for the advice! I personally enjoy smaller Rings Gauges so it'll be right up my alley. The wrapper is one of the best parts about a cigar, and I know the smaller the cigar, the more wrapper shines.

Thanks brotha good to meet you!

Yes a lot of people have told me Partagas is one good starting point and I appreciate the other suggestions.

When I'm able to access *****US (clever name ) sub, I'll look there thanks!

Thanks for the advice my friend, and just so ya know, my nickname in my region is smoking bull... The Chiefs say I can't go a day without something in my mouth!
